  • We advise scheduling your newborn photography session during your pregnancy. Upon receiving your expected due date, we will reserve a slot in our calendar and confirm the session date upon your baby's arrival. If you discover our website after your baby is born, we strive to accommodate you within the first 16 days. Nevertheless, if your child surpasses the 16-day mark, rest assured, we can still capture images with the essence of newborn photography

  • We highly advise scheduling your newborn photography session within the initial 16 days of your baby's life. This timeframe is crucial as newborns exhibit their most womb-like behaviors during this period, characterized by increased flexibility and prolonged sleepiness. A majority of the newborns featured in our portfolio are captured within this timeframe. However, if your child surpasses the 16-day mark, rest assured, we are adept at creating images that evoke the essence of newborn photography.

  • We pride ourselves on offering an extensive array of props to enhance your photography session. Nevertheless, if you have particular props in mind that you'd like to incorporate, please inform us, and we'll make every effort to fulfill your request.   • Newborn photography sessions typically span between 1.5 to 3 hours, tailored to accommodate the unique needs of each child. While some newborns may sleep peacefully throughout the session, others may require additional time to settle into poses. We kindly request that you allocate up to 3 hours at the studio, ensuring ample time to capture a diverse range of poses and setups. Your patience and understanding are greatly valued as we endeavor to deliver the utmost quality service.

    Child Sessions can be anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour.

    Outdoor sessions are typically an hour.

  • All outdoor sessions are done an hour before sunset. This is called the golden hour and allows for some beautiful lighting.

  • Duke Gardens requires a permit to have a session there. During the golden hour, a permit for 1-5 people is $200. If you would like to shoot at Duke Gardens, you will have to pay for the permit.

  • Sitter sessions can be anywhere from 6 months to 8 months or so. Each child is different. What you need to watch for in your child is if they are stable sitting without support.

  • It is best to book these sessions at 11 months. This will allow the photographer to get the images to you by the birthday.

  • Photographers often do not provide cakes for cake smashes, primarily to avoid liability issues related to food allergies, hygiene regulations, and licensing.
